Emergency callouts front and centre, a tap-to-call that works with wet hands, and the service area spelled out.
See this one →Trades used to pay a signwriter to put their name up properly. Same job, different wall.
I build simple, fast websites for sole traders and small firms — the sort of site that tells people who you are, what you do, and how to reach you. No jargon, no monthly tie-in, and the price is on this page.
Straight through to me, no form and no callback queue. I usually reply within the hour.
Your site shouldn't look like everyone else's with the name swapped over. Each one gets its own colours and its own character, pulled from the trade and from your own van, tools and paperwork.

See this one →Built around regular work rather than one-offs — what's covered, how often, and how to book a first visit.

Where most people start. Paid up front.
Half to start, the rest before it goes live.
Optional. Offered after the build, never bundled in.
Nearly everyone finds you on a phone. It's built for that first and checked on a real one before it goes anywhere.
No page builders, no bloat. Plain, fast pages that don't keep people waiting on a patchy signal.
Tap-to-call, WhatsApp, and a form that emails straight to you. Whichever way people prefer.
Set up properly so Google can read it, with the places you cover written where they count.
Sorted for you if you haven't got one. If you have, I'll move it across without your email going down.
You look at it, tell me what's wrong, I fix it. Twice, included. Most people only need one.
The domain goes in your name, not mine. When it's paid for, the site is yours — files and all. If you ever want somebody else to look after it, you take it with you and I'll help you move it. Nobody should be stuck with whoever built their website. It's written into the agreement you get before I start, not just something I've said on a website.
Ten minutes. What you do, where you work, what you want people to ring you about. No pitch, no jargon.
I send you a link. You look at it on your phone and tell me what you'd change. Twice over, if you want.
On your own domain, in your name. Usually within a week of that first call.
Usually about a week from the first call, sometimes less. The slow part is normally waiting on photos or wording from you, not the building.
Talk to me for ten minutes, then look at what I send and say what you think. That's genuinely it.
Photos of your own work help a lot if you've got them on your phone. If you haven't, we manage without.
Fine — I'll point it at the new site. If you've got email on that domain, that keeps working; I'll check it before anything is switched over, because that's the bit people get wrong.
The multi-page site is half up front, half before it goes live. The one-page is paid up front because it's the smaller job. Bank transfer, and you get an invoice.
No. The care plan is optional and you can stop it any time. The site is yours once it's paid for, whether you take the care plan or not.
Tell me and I'll change it — that's what the two rounds are for. I'd rather you said so than went quiet and put up with something you're not happy with.
I'm Stanley. I build websites for sole traders and small firms — the people who are good at what they do and haven't got time to work out what a web agency is on about.
You'd talk to me the whole way through, because there isn't anyone else to pass you to. I answer my own phone and I'll tell you straight if I don't think you need a website.
I'm based in Surrey. The work happens on a computer, so where you are doesn't matter — I work with businesses anywhere in the UK.
Message me and tell me what you do — I'll tell you what I'd build and what it'd cost. If it's not worth it for you, I'll say that too.
I usually reply within the hour. Or email stanley@mayfieldwebsites.co.uk
